Grade 8 Mathematics

Chinese Edition Only

On Question 32 of the Chinese edition only of the Grade 8 Mathematics Test the word line was translated as line segment. As a result, students who use this edition may not have included arrows on the line they drew on the coordinate plane.

To adjust for this, any student who used the Chinese edition, either exclusively or in conjunction with the English edition, and received a score of 2 for Question 32 will have his or her score for this question adjusted to a score of 3. This adjustment in scoring will be made by CTB/McGraw-Hill for students who used the Chinese edition of this test. Schools do not need to make any revision when scoring the responses for these students, and should continue to score this question according to the instructions for the Mathematics Test Grade 8 2007 Scoring Guide Part 1.
